The kids and families at Ronald McDonald House of Memphis, a program of Ronald McDonald House Charities^® of Memphis (RMHC of Memphis), love having groups and individuals visit the House for activities. These events allow parents a much needed break and great entertainment for the kids. They also will allow your group to give back to the Memphis community and truly help the families of St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

 

Group Volunteers organize activities that provide entertainment and recreation for our families. There are a number of fun activities that groups may do at Ronald McDonald House. The information below is merely a guide – use your imagination!

 

Arts & Crafts activities should be well supervised by the group hosting the event. You should take into consideration that there will be several age groups participating in the activity. The more unusual the craft, the better the children respond (check out www.makingfriends.com for some suggestions).
 

Games are always a great idea - there are countless ways to entertain the families of RMHC of Memphis such as Card or Board Game Tournaments, PlayStation Game Tournament, Pool Tournament (we have two pool tables in the House), Bingo Night or Ping Pong Tournament.

Movie Night, Karaoke Night, decorating our House for the Holidays, making goody bags or baskets for families, hosting a themed party, Puppet Shows, Ice Cream or Dessert Parties, Cookie Decorating, live musical performances.
