Help a family in need today!! Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Memphis is asking YOU to “pull together” by collecting pull tabs off of soda cans, pet food, canned vegetables etc. to be recycled in order to raise funds. Please join Ronald McDonald House and the Mid-South community on Saturday, October 16th from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Schnucks (799 Truse Pkwy.) for Pop-Tab-Palooza, and bring your tabs to support this great cause!

 

Like all Ronald McDonald Houses all across the United States, Ronald McDonald House Charities® of Memphis collects pop tabs year round, which are exchanged for a sum of money with a local recycling plant. Recyclers pay for the pop tabs because that little tab is made of a higher grade aluminum than the entire soda can and is therefore worth more.

We are asking local communities, schools, churches, social groups and more to take part in Pop-Tab-Palooza to raise awareness for our collection as well as funding. Pop-Tab-Palooza is a great way to help children and communities understand a little more about recycling as well as help out the children and families who call Ronald McDonald House of Memphis their “home-away-from-home”.

 

 

COLLECT COLLECT and COLLECT! your pull tabs all year long and bring however much has been collected to Pop-Tab-Palooza on Saturday, October 16th. We will have a scale to weigh the amounts, a giant bin for collections, and prizes will be given out in many different categories.
